~~~~Blogs & Info Websites~~~~
TinyNibbles.com: by Violet Blue, this is an amazingly informative and entertaining blog/resource site. Definitely one of my very favorites!
JanesGuide.com: reviews galore on porn, sex toys, contraceptives and more by a woman who’s super sex-positive. A very rich site!
Betty Dodson with Carlin Ross: a website collaboration founded by two sexual pioneers! It’s fun, educational and supportive.
Scarleteen.com: an awesome resource site for teens about sexuality and gender. I link it because, though I work in an industry intended for adults, sexuality education and support shouldn’t be limited to adults. Very sex-positive.
~~~~Organizations~~~~
TheExiles.org: a San Francisco group for women who want to explore kink/BDSM with other women. They have events and helpful resource listings.
Society of Janus: a San Francisco based organization for people of all genders who are exploring kink/BDSM. They also have events and supportive resource listings.
SFSI / San Francisco Sex Information: a free informational telephone line – call them with your sex questions. It’s been operating since 1972!
Kink Aware Professionals / National Coalition for Sexual Freedom: a direct link to this very helpful list of kink aware therapists, lawyers, etc. A sign of strength is asking for help! This site is also rich in other resources, so you’ll definitely want to peruse.
AASECT / American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists: again, another great resource for finding sexual health professionals.
Human Rights Campaign – Coming Out Resource: a very helpful resource for those who are coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
The American Institute of Bisexuality: lots of fantastic resources about bisexuality, founded by Dr. Fritz Klein.
Intersex Society of North America: a great site for resources and support for intersex people, those close to them and for the general public.
Transgender Law Center: a great resource site for trans freedom and legal support.
Miss Vera’s Finishing School for Boys Who Want to be Girls: I’ve linked directly to her “links” page as she lists some terrific resources for crossdressers and transgender folks.
The Center for Sex & Culture: founded by Dr. Carol Queen (a former Lusty Lady!) & Dr. Robert Lawrence, this San Francisco-based organization houses a huge library of sexuality resources and holds regular events.
